I’m writing a book. It’s going to be about twin girls who go to hockey after school with loads of other girls but everyday more and more girls don’t show up to lessons. They start to get a bit suspicious and decide that they should do some detective work and try and figure out why this is happening. I’m aiming for at least 8 chapters. I don’t want it to be massive but I don’t want it to be tiny either.
I chose to write this book because I have a passion for writing. I also chose this because I really want to be an author when I’m older. It will prepare and help me to write more in the future.
I’m going to hand write it and cut the pages to the size I need it to be. I’ll get a cardboard box, paint over it in white and draw my design for the cover and then colour it. I’ll put a quote from the book and what it’s based on in the blurb. I’ll put my name on the spine of the book and on the front of the book.
Hi! My book is getting on very well, I’m currently writing chapter 7.
So far, the main characters have discovered how and who is causing all these murders.
I’ve changed a few things, when people speak I put their sentences on a new line so it looks easier to read and follow. I’m not putting any pictures in, I changed my mind about that as well. I think I’ll just focus on the writing. I might sell them, I don’t know yet.
Hello! If you didn’t know already, I’m writing a book on a murder mystery. The main characters are twin sisters called Rose and Ruby. They share a best friend called Amy and they all go to hockey together. Every week, more and more members of the hockey team don’t show up to lessons. The girls decide to look into it and figure out exactly what’s happening to them.
I’m at the start of chapter 5 already, but i’m aiming to get up to maybe a tenth chapter depending on how much I write. I still need a title so if you have any suggestions please tell me! Hopefully by the end of chapter 7 the main characters will have a rough idea of who, how and what is happening. I’m trying my best to not make it drag on way too long but I don’t want tiny chapters that ends way too quickly because I want my audience to enjoy it so much that when it ends they’ll want to read it again

Hi! My name is Dannii. I go to Cloontagh School. It’s quite a small school, there are 99 pupils and 4 class teachers. We play bingo every Friday, PE every Thursday and we read and play games with the Junior and Senior Infants every Wednesday. We also get a music lesson on Tuesdays. We have an obstacle course in the yard that we will hopefully use someday. We get a football at 1 o’ clock and 2 o’ clock. It’s an amazing school. Our teachers are lovely as well. There are 4 classrooms, Junior and Senior infants, 1st and 2nd class, 3rd and 4th class and 5th and 6th class. It was built in 1938 and opened in 1939.
Cloontagh is a very nice place. There are so many beautiful things here, such as rivers, bushes, flowers, rocks and stones, beaches, waterfalls, animals, fields and so much more. Clonmany is about 4km away from Cloontagh. Most of the animals here are cows, sheep and a few horses. You might see a few more but those are the main 3. Everything here is about walking distance. There are loads of nice, big houses around here. The weather isn’t always great, it rains a lot but when it is nice its beautiful. Clonmany Festival is on every year on the first week of August, sometimes the end of July. Loads of people go to that festival.
In school we are doing Genius Hour projects and I was thinking of writing a book, I’m not sure what it would be about though, I’m still working it out. It would have around 4-8 chapters, they wouldn’t be overly long but they wouldn’t be way too short. There would be 2-4 main characters and a few side characters. It would be a fantasy story. My target audience would be ages of 9-13. I might give it a sad ending, to make it a bit different from other stories. There might be a few small pictures but not many because I don’t enjoy art that much. Writing is super fun to me, other people find it boring but I don’t, that’s why I chose to write a book. My dream is to be a successful author and possibly make a television show about my books.
